Food for Families started in Gatesville in 1988 which led to the creation of the Gatesville Care Center. In previous years, one in five area residents were provided with food as a result of this ministry, which is held annually on the Friday before Thanksgiving. FBCG members have provided support for Food for Families since the very beginning.
